On Buying What I Only Need And Loving Forever 21 In The Philippines!

A little trip to Forever 21 Megamall the other week brought home this chic find. It’s heart-stoppingly gorgeous! I love dresses at Forever 21, they have such cute collections. Plus, they have kind workers too, which means they won’t bombard you right away, asking if you need help and staring at you with that Barbie smile. They’re there when you need them, but surely know to keep their space.

One worker helped me find this dress; she suggested that it would look flattering on me, and  I suppose she never lied. :)

This fantastic Forever 21 dress has a price like slightly whoa, but it’s all worth the purchase as the fabric is heartbreakingly beautiful. It’s 1,200 something pesos if you ask me, but the quality of the material is winning and something that would keep me checking back in for sure. Honestly, I just love getting the best of shopping in the Philippines — you will never know what you will find. But of course, you will ALWAYS find something. :)

Previously in this blog I also purchased one item at Forever 21.  As you may notice, I don’t purchase a chock-full of clothes at one time; it is only recently that I learned to control my shopping addiction. It feels good though; over-spending generally makes me feel a bit bad after. So girls, if you don’t really need the dress or the earrings, don’t buy them or buy everything at one time.  :)

I bought this dress for two purposes:  something to wear to work with a blazer on, and for a very special reunion on Sunday evening with the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe alumni.

On a side note: do I look model-esque here? ‘Coz I know I don’t, but I feel like one HAHAH so yes, please bear with it. My face is blurred anyway. XD

Shoes btw are from Manel’s. click HERE for larger view.

I’m glad that I’m learning to be comfy of what I just have and live happy even if I don’t get to buy everything I want at one time or sometimes lack the money on a discounted sale.

Happiness is the only thing in the world that we cannot find anywhere else but inside ourselves :]

I’m buying later some accessories, choose only one: bracelets or earrings?

Happy Birthday Madelaine Cantor, you beautiful cybervixen, you.

You would love you some loong warm hugs from me, but since pretty much can be done using the internet and you are currently downright feeling ill, here’s me wishing you a Happy birthday on my blog instead.

Aren’t we the hottest thing ever? ha(space)ha.

I hope yours were fantastic, filled with food, beautiful family and good companion music. I wish you good health that will shower you throughout the years and a love that will forever keep you happy. And of course, what better way to celebrate than by grabbing a bottle of San Mig light between your fingers and eating some hot nachos with cheese dip! With cute girl friends like me of course!! HAHAH. Am I the only one who gets to ask you this? Throw those bed blankets away and let’s party!

I’m kidding of course, but I did get a chance to try. So take good care of yourself and heal well soon, because after your bed rest and all these stuff that is momentarily keeping us apart, we’ll surf and sand and fire and party next time. I LOVE YOU! :)

I Fell In Love With The Majesty Of Colors.

My creative juices aren’t really flowing to do anything productive at the moment, so I’m hoping my old artsy creations would give me artsy inspiration. If I’m not depleted of any artsy ideas yet. Hee. :3

2005.

I used to do a lot of complicated self sketches way back then. Work came along, and my creativity withered.

These photos are a reminder to myself to make time for some art.

P.S. did you know that my title up there is actually a pixel-horror game that puts the player behind the tentacles of a titanic, writhing sea monster? Yeah. Google it. It’s weird. All those words just came straight from my head.

In The Land Of Awesome Food: Chef Tony’s, Green Mango and Jelly Belly Jellybeans

Sooo I’ve eaten awesome stuff last weekend and well, I must say there’s simply nothing better than a cold cup of froyo, a bagful of jellybeans, and creamy green tea popcorn. The entire experience is just great! I’ve been starved of my regular dose of happy potions lately (READ: cuppycakes), and what better way to be happy than to try new treats like those?

The excitement was so apparent on my face that you can bet I would have made a total glutton of myself had I kept each one of them under my bed when I saw them all. It was new-found love. Okay, that was an understatement. They were probably more than new-found love because they were glorious in many ways. SIGH. Sweets. I could love them forever.

Where was I again?

Oh yeah, awesome stuff I ate last weekend:

Over dinner on Sunday my brother had me try out Chef Tony’s Creamy Green Tea popcorn.

I don’t know about all of you but this totally melted my heart.. and yes, you heard me right — it’s “creeeaamy”. I don’t suppose there’s anything like it. Way better than Holly Kettle and Kettle Corn. It’s milky, jam-packed with sweet green tea powder, crunchy nuts coated in thick caramel sugar, and other divine stuff included into the mix. Popcorn is healthy; it has fiber, right amount of calories and carbs. For someone who never loved green teas before, this was an exception.

Chef Tony’s Popcorn branches are as follows: Retiro, Tomas Morato, and Metrowalk, SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, and S&R Price Club, SM Tarlac, SM Mall of Asia (MOA), and Trinoma.

Green Mango. I guess that many people believe that they have options or else they’d believe Red Mango‘s the only froyo (and only the best) existing in town. Especially here in the Philippines. I’m one of those people I guess, because my tastebuds are adventurous like that, yo.  That being said, Green Mango’s froyo is just heaven beyond description. Downside only: it is soft-served. But still.. YUMMY!! And I’m seriouusss. :) It’s green..it’s refreshing..it’s sweet..and like most Froyos are — best jazzed up with fruits. This one’s bought at the SM North Edsa skyway.

Jelly Belly Jellybeans. I’d’ve thought this was obvious. I’ve mentioned about my undying love for jellybeans before, and it’s a kind of a sweet torture. The world’s healthiest foods don’t taste good; calories does. So surely, you will like ‘em as it is loaded with all the bad stuff. XD On a side note, a heap of those chewy oblong-shaped goodies a day won’t hurt. I presume your  tastebuds will even categorize them as either ‘yummy’ or ‘truly exciting’. But then again, some of them taste as sucky as how their color looks like, say for example — brown. I think the one I tasted was coffee jived with beer or butter? Funniest taste ever. But nonetheless I have always liked colors . So okay, super like! Buy at your nearest grocery store.

Morning Office Makeup

Oh make-up..make-up..make-up..you never let me down. The minute I’ve pulled each magic wand out, I knew I was in for a pretty alone time. It might have had something to do with the shades of color, and the shimmer and glimmer of gold and glitter, and reds and pinks and blue palettes, joyously stashed into the pouch.

Where would any modern girl be without it?

Where would I be without it?

  • Estée Lauder Signature Eyeshadow Quad
  • Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup
  • Estée Lauder Lash primer Plus
  • NYC Liquid Lip Shine Gloss
  • Estée Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush
  • Magic Lipstick in Strawberry
  • Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner
  • Ever Bilena Studio Finish Stick Foundation

My morning office make-up is really simple — I apply lightly. Besides moisturizer, I add some face foundation, use a concelar to hide dark spots, apply a light powder blush on my cheeks, curl my eyelashes, apply 2-3 coats of mascara, sweep a pink stick of gloss and then voila, it’s like wear your heels and party work it.

Earlier today, before going to work.

Makeup=great impact in career.

Later, I’ll be writing some make-up reviews! So, yes dear reader, stay tuned!
