I have to give it to these two. There’s just something about bananas and milk that drive me majorly crazy. And no, it has nothing to do with my being concerned about my health lately. No. I think bananas and milk deserve an award for keeping me healthy and fit throughout the years. Not only are they packed with vitamins and minerals, it’s got energy boosters for the body. Yeaah. And these I ate on a Wednesday morning which is why I’m feeling extra cheerful at the moment. It smells (and tastes) just like fresh rain and sunshine.

A curved yellow fruit. Namely, a banana.
DOLE bananas.
Yum.
and
Anlene concentrate milk in chocolate flavor.
First time to try this, and the taste I can say is quite impressive.
It gives you 4x Calcium?? Wow.
Plus my tummy didn’t hurt! XD

I don’t eat bananas in the morning, it’s usually around noon. And I eat them cold, fresh from the fridge, and sliced into several pieces. Then I will combine them with hot oats, served on a bowl and ready to be eaten. It’s perfect combination. Especially for a full meal. Got this from my mom and dad, who are lovely, health-conscious, human beings of good nature.
Beautiful bowl of oats with cold slices of banana.

On another note: There’s this store at the ground floor of SM City north Edsa that sells frozen bananas.
Dipped into hot melted chocolatey goodness.
GAAAAH.
I’ve been waiting a long time to see a store that would sell frozen bananas in all of its defined chocolatey glory. It gets a solid ten from me. Plus, more than 5 flavors are there to choose from: strawberry, apple, vanilla, cheese, ube..etc. …there’s A LOT. I went gaga over it so much that I’ve been throwing a little less than 30 bucks at that lady who sell it for like everyday. Well, almost.
I love it.

Delicious chocolate dipped frozen bananas with rice crispies.
Mmmm. This is like, pure amounts of win combined with a touch of awesomeness. LOOVEE.

As for the milk, I drink it at night. The powder ones I prepare on a hot cup minus the sugar. And sometimes I add a little chocolate for flavor.. because I couldn’t live without chocolate, and simply because I said so. So when in the mood, I practically add three spoonfuls of MILO powder into my glass of milk.
BUT sometimes I overdo it. Spoonfuls of MILO on top.
Thus, I create ..a Milo Dinosaur:
with milk in the mix.
You get the best of both worlds here.. Chocolate and Milk.
I promise.

Last night, I could not stop coughing. I was at the gym rehearsing for a dance competition when it happened: acute asthma attacks. Again. And I thought I needed a break from reality to reduce my strenuous activities, but I was wrong.
All I ever needed, however, is a simple meal of bananas and milk for the following day.
So when the cold hits, I’d grab some of these.
Plus sleep too… LOTS of those.
And then what do you know… I’ll feel better.
(and I do feel better now.)
