Lace It Up And Dance

Make-up, rehearsing, PERFORMING a broadway dance with Amanda Page during a Metro Manila film fest awards night, back-up dancing for Marian Rivera, Bella Padilla, Jolina Magdangal and more artistas – these are all fantastic ways to completely have a blast out of your usual grind! And I WORE LACES! Which is the most amazing part of the story btw, because it screams total romance, and gives your entire outfit the feminine touch and sexiness we need sometimes.

Also: I greatly believe I’m beginning to develop my lace obsession and I presume I’ll be a lace FREAK within the span of 10 years.

Oh joy.  :]

Since it’s love, I almost always incorporate lace in my everyday wardrobe.  XD

In retrospect, I wore lace on my birthday!

During a dinner at Mann Hann with the fam bam..

While having a ride on Anchors Away at Enchanted Kingdom..

On parties with girlfriends..

While being the little vain monster that I am, lolz.

and Christmas last yearsss!

Personally, it’s so universal, and this still holds to be true since it’s almost the end of the year and instead of polka dots and rainbow brights, I think I’m wearing a celebratory lace top tonight!  :p

So I suggest: wear something lace~y this year you guys!!! – it never goes out of style. :3

Why I Love Christmas: Gifts, IMAX Movies, Mann Hann, Family, And Frozen Yogurt

I JUST TOOK a picture of the christmas presents I got for this year and I’m gonna weeeeeeeee like a small child!

“]

What did you guys get for Christmas?

OF COURSE thank you to my wonderful parents (who reads my blog! HAHAH) and to my deliciously awesome friends for making my Christmas more fun than last year. I’m not the “gift type” of person and I surely suck in choosing Christmas gifts, but I do HAVE A GOOD HEART and do know how to be a generous princess in return, lolz! :}

See as a treat to my family, we even went out yesterday and watched Tron: Legacy in IMAX 3D!!

Awesome movie, you guys!

ALSO: I treated everyone for dinner!!! – we ordered chinese!

This was my Christmas late dinner with my family.  We ate at Mann Hann, one of our favorite Chinese restaurants which serves delicious chinese food.

Just take a good look at what we had in our tummies:

GAAAH. Delish! XDD

Family fun at the dinner table. My parents are way cute diba!?

We are fond of laughtrips and my Dad is the ultimate person to be with if you rave for a good sense of humour. He is simply funny, cute, unique, impressive, & MOST OF ALL: huggable. :3 My mom is simply perfect, and possibly the loveliest person you’ll ever meet!

But wait! There’s more!

We looooove Green Mango’s frozen yougurts!

Like OMG who wouldn’t want to have a lick at this after fully satiating yourself over Chinese cuisine! It’s addicting in all sorts of way! Eating is one of the things that my Filipino family loves doing, and these froyos just made our day complete!

And check out this really funny video of us while at it: Read the rest of this entry »

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I hope you all are having an amazing holiday! I had the most festive Christmas ever filled with lots of good food and tons of fun! I absolutely believe the amount of cals in my body have greatly increased due to christmas food and whatnots so I should schedule a workout plan very soon. But I’m enjoying it so far, nonetheless and this Christmas-themed self portrait proves it!  HAHAH. :3 Since I was feeling a little Christmas~y, this is an obligatory holiday post. YEAAAH. :}

Would you believe I took this at around 5pm?

Christmas girl

I photoshopped the image to make it look like it was ~sunny~.

Since the photo isn’t of quality, I decided to use the add noise filter in photoshop:

TRUST ME. It’s a great way to manipulate photos even if you only have a point and shoot camera! And after all, creativity can’t be bought, you guys. Just saying.

Credits of course to Perception Obscure for the lomo-like texture. You can grab the full downloadable Pinholga texture RIGHT HERE. I’ve been using this for a while and I love it!

Pink floral hat. Enchanted Kingdom souvenir shop. 250Php.

I’ve bought the cute hat for myself because I’m a greedy little monster and I couldn’t help buying myself a christmas present. Nyahaha.  :} Which is a-okay by the way, because rainbow girls deserve better for working so hard this very year. Oh wells, at least for me. Hah. :3

Anyway, it was a pretty find. I was supposed to use it for our company’s 80′s christmas costume party but I didn’t! I’M AN INDECISIVE CHILD, okay. XDD  Hopefully, I could find more of this to add to my personal stash of girly~ness LOL. I’m pretty sure I just found my pretty little awesome new obsession! <33

ALSO: Pictures from today, right when I woke up. I was wearing my brother’s oh.so.ah.dorable puppy headband because I wanted to be cute like that. Hoho.

Up next: My 2010 christmas gifts!

Health and Beauty Tips – Life Is Beautiful

I JUST got home from a really sweaty yoga session and cardio classes aaaand although I’m dead tired already – I’m feeling (surprisingly enough) fit and fab! See my fingers just keep flying over the keyboard that even though I know I’m not one with the authority to talk about health and beauty and share tips on how to apply make-up and stuff, I’m gonna keep tryin’. Hah.

But srsly, you guys? Health and beauty isn’t just about hairstyles and make-up!

Since it’s for the experts, I’ll just in a few share a coupla’ tips to keep you dear reader and your life radiantly beautiful. YEAAAH. And applying make-up on don’t even count!  :D

1.) Resist The Temptation

Pinoys love to eat, right?! And since affordable Filipino fastfoods are everywhere, it can be such a big tease. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’d know that I tweeted about having rice for dinner tonight. Nyaha! Well, carbs is A-OK, as long as you eat in small amounts. Guess what I’m trying to say is – WATCH WHAT YOU EAT. Gaining a few pounds isn’t heinous crime, okay. But getting a whole lot can be detrimental to your health!

2.) Work Hard For The Body

Excercise! Gaddd..and there’s a whole range to choose from! Move those cute asses people and lift some weights! Jog around the villa, play ball (or watch the hot azkaLs on Star sports tv instead if you’re clueless of the bball thing but weight lifts still while doing that!), learn self-defense moves (which I greatly suck at), or belly dance (trust the expert haha)! And if you ask me, it’s basically just whatever floats my boat and fits my fancy. When you have one, make sure to keep it part of your daily routine mmkay.

3.) Catch Up On Your Zzz’s

Brainstorming for this had me heaving a giant SIGH. Confession – it’s difficult for me to share a tip that even I can’t favor myself with! *insert tears* Although I’m trying to, really. Even when it’s past midnight already and my bones are jangled with little symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. WTF? I’m not the entirely busy bee type, but I don’t want you to look like a walking zombie either. SO instead of spending the day feeling groggy, do yourself a favor – sleep. IDK, I always loved having a fresh face minus the eyebags. It just gets me into the groove of things and TRUST ME: it surely will not disappoint!

Okay that’s the intro, onto selfshots at the gym! XDD HAHAHA. All pictures of course taken using my Palm Pre! :)

have been shooting mirror shots (self portrait) for years, so this isn’t a surprise.

Coming up:  My must-have fitness goodies!

So keep checking back in you guys!

Ta~ta!

Earn Money With Nuffnang While You Sleep

OKAY, first off – I’m back guys, as if it isn’t obvious enough, LOL. Anyway, what have you guys been up to lately? :}

I just recently tracked my blog’s progress and found out I was actually earning money while I was gone! Since it’s quite a looong time, you would think I’ve missed out on a lot.

Well, not really! HAHAH.

Thanks to Nuffnang Philippines!

Not a lot, if you ask me. But earn in just a few days?? Cool enough!

Even though my blog hasn’t focused on anything in particular yet, posts, which are useful (and are already published on my blog) helped earn the “Nuffnang Payment” for me.  That’s when visitors still visit your blog even with the lack of updates!

I keep track using Feedjit LIVE!

See that pink rectangular bar on the right? Yeah, that.

It shows what is happening on my blogsite right now! The first update is actually YOU! Nyahaha. :3

And what’s more, it’s being updated in REAL-TIME as new visitors arrive on my site! So it’s actually cool!

In other news: I get a lot of funny search keywords that bring people to my blog! But I will blog about that later, since they are just way too many. Hehs.

Moving on..

By publishing Nuffnang ads, even when you’re in the middle of a glorious sleep, you will get paid!

As soon as you sign up, all you need to do is to add ad units to your blog by copy pasting the code into your blog site template et voila! You can start earning!

Noticeably, Sidneyland blog is simply a record of my experiences and ideas. I guess what I’m trying to say is that just like me, you can also be a blogger in your own right and earn just the same with Nuffnang even when you’re only blogging about everyday experiences!

TRUST ME. The whole experience is rewarding!

For starters, all you need are the ff:

  •  fresh blogging ideas
  •  know your niche
  • write helpful posts (like this one!)
  • jazz it up with search keywords loved by Google
  • and most importantly! know the right blogging platform.

According to a poll from here it’s gotta be WordPress, which I personally use btw!

Alright guys! Just do all of the above and you can make internet marketing work for you and make your blog doable with Nuffnang!

If you have a blog, you can sign up HERE to start earning your first paycheck from Nuffnang!

and this is how your dashboard will look like:

Nifty, yeah? :)

Go on, click it!! It’s going to be fun!

As you may notice, I don’t write for a profession, and I don’t have deadlines. I write for the simple joy that comes with it. Blogging has helped me grow not only as a person in the online galaxy, but also as a better person in real life. I’ve discovered a lot, and from time to time, I get thoroughly inspired by reading the stuff of other bloggers who are into the same niche as mine. Not saying that I belong in a specific niche already — but quite frankly, blogging has been the kind of competitive yet awesome learning which in the space of 8 months I’ve learned to love.

The competition is tough, but I don’t mind competition to begin with, so it’s all cool.

 :)

In a high, happier, note: It feels great to be here and be back to blogging again! :]]

Just a good way to start the holidays, right?

Merry Christmas in advance, you guys.

Want To Color Your Hair? You’ll Love Revlon Colorsilk Hair Color

I JUST bought a box of this on a friend’s recommendation, aaaand I’m SOO glad I did!

ONCE every three months, I color my hair until it’s a beautiful warm shade of strawberry blonde (it’s my favorite). I always used Hortaleza and Mondes coloring system and the results would be.. well, quite satisfying. But haircolors do take its toll. It could be very harsh and unforgiving. So my hair, being under red chemical coating for years, soon became

1.) very dry
2.) thin, and
3.) totally damaged!

I was aware of the results. And I somewhat hate myself for it. 3-month results with cheap haircoloring = not good. I’m not blaming the hair coloring products I used, though. I swear, the color turn out to be really beautiful..

but the aftermath? Is this..

Holy mackerel! My hair looks murdered (and by murdered I mean after a series of color~ing, blow dry~ing, heat styling et.al) Not cool. My hair in real life are brittle and dry, but this is the internet. You can Photoshop pictures every damn day, lolz. EDITED VERSION HERE.

And this is why conditioners are personally so damn useful…

You can apply it directly to the roots of your hair, wash it out so that your hair becomes super soft and shiny, and there are even leave-ons (like Vitress) to back those up! It’s so universal. But you wouldn’t last 12 hours with sparkly shiny hair with conditioner alone. TRUST ME.

And so I tried Revlon’s Colorsilk Hair Color #32 in Dark Mahogany Brown. JOY TO THE WORLD. The results are.. simply surreal. Kay fine, not really ~surreal~ But from dry hair it went to a.. well, less dry hair. Nice n’ easy should be the right word for it.

I’m not sure if I entirely like my new haircolor. It’s a lil boring and.. plain. But mind you, this was a HUGE decision to make. Friends say I look whiter w/ reddish blonde hair but since everyone’s going blonde these days with fringes similar to mine, I think this will be prettier. At least for a while. Hah. :}

Why I love Revlon Colorsilk:
1.) Nice and easy to apply
2.) Affordable and reasonable price!
3.) Holds color for quite a long time (my mother can attest!)
4.) Makes you happy, lol

I mean color is one thing, but wow. My hair is soft. :] Besides, I have dark brown hair before, almost black so this isn’t new:

It’s edited, IKR. XD
