How To Bring Your Room Alive With Magic, Milk and Crackers Plus Self Shot Pics

UNGLUE YOUR EYES from the daintiest room you’ll ever see in your life for a second and check out the newly changed sheets! This room of color was organized by yours truly and I can’t believe I’ve made it out ALIVE. Haha. Like holy cow!! Thankyou Lord, to my family and friends, to every kindred soul who believed in me and to those who doubted. It’ll surely be another year of studying/working since summer months are now over so while we all have the time, let’s organize our room, shall we?

All I ever needed was a dose of inspiration and voila! feels like magic. {:

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I apparently did the organizing with *huge* difficulty, survived a clutter of whateveryouwantocallitz, and brought out shoes from my closet which were 64 pairs overall. And mom’s and cousin’s don’t even count!

Sadly, my prettiest shoes are the most painful ones. It’s probably because I’m easily swayed by popular fashion trends and I’m bad at keeping and learning something. Meh. :/ Always always try it on before committing to buy!

So I threw this all back in the closet and I didn’t manage to take a photo. Gomen. XDD Wish I had more space! T_T

Not sure why I’m posting this photo. While playing dota. Milk and crackers on the side.

Here are more colorful room ideas to bring your room ~alive~ with magic XDD :

  1. Move your table to your favorite corner.
  2. Get new sheets.
  3. Add a hip accent for an instant makeover.

I swear I could suggest some more but most recently I’m becoming a lazy trying hard person in which I sucked too but I will try to improve OKAY?? Learning is a ~lifelong process~ there is HOPE!  :]

Thinking of food expertise or learning the latest painting techniques for my next self improvement project since diverse class offerings are all around the metro. My brain’s dried out of art juices lately ~srsly, I need a new skill.

Self shots as promised.  More on my next post!!

Stay tuned.

5 Ways To Get Your Morning Groove Going

I ENVY PEOPLE who can sleep properly and easily shut-eye their way out of a night’s worry. I’m not a morning person and I don’t stick to a regular sleeping schedule. I fail at getting up at the same time everyday and for some reasons my appetite has been lost. :s Or if I may have a raging one, it must be occasional binge, one that provides me superhuman comfort (think turon with ice creams!! XDD). Days like this, I can’t fight bed gravity; I would need a coupla’ cups of coffee to instantly get the perk-me-up mood. And I know it’s bad since caffeine interfere nightime sleep but they are simply delectable in my tastebuds! Haha. All this heat is festive and lazy and fun to oversleep but summer is summer! :]]

So for those lazy days when I’m feeling grungy, these stuffs are the comfiest things I do in the world to get that bright morning spirit, but are certainly not short on the benefits:

1.) Chow down on quick and easy dishes!

I love preparing breakfast, so today I made a… *drum rolls*

Strawberry Butter Sandwich!

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Serves: Serves 2

Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup Butter (softened)
• 2 tbsp Sugar
• 1 tbsp Strawberry Preserves
• 4 slices toasted Bread

How to make Strawberry Butter Sandwich:
• Take a small bowl and add strawberry, butter and sugar to it.
• Beat it until you get the desired consistency.
• Cover and refrigerate it for about 2-3 hours.
• Spread it over bread slices and enjoy it immediately.

I love the finer things in life and eating strawberries is one of them. But I don’t over-indulge, except if it’s chocolates ‘coz that may just land me a gross mystery illness of sorts (OKAY TOTALLY RANDOM STORY) so for added flexibility I tried Yoga, but this most of all…

2.) Do aerobics!

For your viewing enjoyment, here’s a hiphop aerobics video at Slimmer’s World from the summer of 2008:

Flexibility needs TONS of baby steps to take. And since I do it regularly, it’s second nature! I don’t know, Aerobics will probably ruin your life ‘coz it’s addictive and all but I don’t want to get a balloon belly either. I don’t have a flat tummy though, but I’d rather like it cute and cuddly like small pillows. Mehehe. ~ And just recently: Ezeck’s in Town (SEE: the chinky-eyed guy on the aerobics video)!! Remember his despedida HERE? And it’s not like everything about reunions is all grand because in the mix, there’s the most hurtful part of consuming tons of the hard stuff. But Aerobics I must say is helping heaps to burn of all that beer! Yeaah. :]

3.) Watch quick summer hairstyles videos by Bubzbeauty!

Because they make a world of difference. ‘Nuff said.

4.) Go out for a bike!

And this is like 500 days of summer inspired.

5.) Have a cute desktop!

What to do: Download cute icons here . Find a nice wallpaper on the internets, right click on your desktop, and tweak in your creativity to get your morning groove going.

Refresh From The Toes Up

TO MAKE UP with lack of breather for couple of days, I went to treat myself to a soak.

And this is like taking a warm, refreshing shower in the middle of the day. {:

I have to say that one good thing about aerobics, which is sort of a stretch, is that it’s something better than nothing. And dancers don’t really have good feet. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I don’t really own a pair of perfect ones; my feet gets really all stretched out and sweaty after a long day at the gym and I for one would like to thank God for them, nonetheless.

So today I relieved my aching feet and Googled and learned that a Hydrotheraphy can actually help reduce its soreness and swelling. I’m surprised at myself too; I don’t know why I had ever bothered to do a DIY footspa treatment!

I mean, foot spa services are available at beauty salons across the country, right? And with prices that range from only P250 to P500, it’s actually less than a new pair of shoes!

However, don’t get me wrong, I like all these foot spa remedies you can do from home and I greatly believe it’s time well spent.

Wait..that’s actually the point isnt? {:

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. A basin with warm water
  2. DIY footspa products (I recommend WISH, which are available at your favorite Watsons stores).
  3. Sugar scrub
  4. Towel

Want To Color Your Hair? You’ll Love Revlon Colorsilk Hair Color

I JUST bought a box of this on a friend’s recommendation, aaaand I’m SOO glad I did!

ONCE every three months, I color my hair until it’s a beautiful warm shade of strawberry blonde (it’s my favorite). I always used Hortaleza and Mondes coloring system and the results would be.. well, quite satisfying. But haircolors do take its toll. It could be very harsh and unforgiving. So my hair, being under red chemical coating for years, soon became

1.) very dry
2.) thin, and
3.) totally damaged!

I was aware of the results. And I somewhat hate myself for it. 3-month results with cheap haircoloring = not good. I’m not blaming the hair coloring products I used, though. I swear, the color turn out to be really beautiful..

but the aftermath? Is this..

Holy mackerel! My hair looks murdered (and by murdered I mean after a series of color~ing, blow dry~ing, heat styling et.al) Not cool. My hair in real life are brittle and dry, but this is the internet. You can Photoshop pictures every damn day, lolz. EDITED VERSION HERE.

And this is why conditioners are personally so damn useful…

You can apply it directly to the roots of your hair, wash it out so that your hair becomes super soft and shiny, and there are even leave-ons (like Vitress) to back those up! It’s so universal. But you wouldn’t last 12 hours with sparkly shiny hair with conditioner alone. TRUST ME.

And so I tried Revlon’s Colorsilk Hair Color #32 in Dark Mahogany Brown. JOY TO THE WORLD. The results are.. simply surreal. Kay fine, not really ~surreal~ But from dry hair it went to a.. well, less dry hair. Nice n’ easy should be the right word for it.

I’m not sure if I entirely like my new haircolor. It’s a lil boring and.. plain. But mind you, this was a HUGE decision to make. Friends say I look whiter w/ reddish blonde hair but since everyone’s going blonde these days with fringes similar to mine, I think this will be prettier. At least for a while. Hah. :}

Why I love Revlon Colorsilk:
1.) Nice and easy to apply
2.) Affordable and reasonable price!
3.) Holds color for quite a long time (my mother can attest!)
4.) Makes you happy, lol

I mean color is one thing, but wow. My hair is soft. :] Besides, I have dark brown hair before, almost black so this isn’t new:

It’s edited, IKR. XD

Make a DIY creative charm bracelet out of snapped headbands

NOTHING ends a boring day more creatively than decorating your wrist with a DIY charm bracelet, so last night, I made one for myself! Yeaah! :]

What you’ll need:

1.) a microscopic misfortune in the form of snapped headbands (preferably with unique designs)/ useless junk or any of that kind
2.) beautiful brooch pins /gems/ stones etc.
3.) safety pins
4.) creative juices (yeah squeeze it XD)

ODDLY enough, it’s not the creatives in me that led to this cute charming creation – it’s because of my carelessness. And who would have ever thought that I could turn a useless headband into something useful?

If you’re in the know, you will believe I’m hugely unmindful of myself, but it’s also surprising to know that 6 BRAIN CELLS are actually functioning when I work with design and become a little crafty.

And although I’m not really good in explaining DIY’s tutorials, if any of you find yourself in a situation similar to mine (nice, cute looking headbands snapping) well, try this! I think it’ll be worth a shot.
