Caring For A Newborn: A Different Kind Of Life

BEFORE I HAD a baby, I had always thought that I needed nothing else to be happy — but I was wrong. Cataleya came, and there was such a HUGE change in my life. And I do really mean HUGE ‘coz caring for a new baby is overwhelming. It’s like having a mental block that clouds your brain and bracing yourself for long stressful nights of epic proportions and good lord I have nil idea what I’m supposed  to do with her. Haha. But srsly? the newness of it all and the responsibilities that come along with it ALL SCARED ME. My fatigue is beyond belief. Nursing every 2 hours, changing nappies 8x a day, making sure your baby burps ~ it was all simply unthinkable! No one ever told me that daily life with a newborn will be so unpretty. Even Mom told me last night I’m starting to look like losyang already. *_* I have zero experience caring for babies! Nakakahiya lang ‘coz breast milk will drip all over your clothes and sometimes you can barely remember to bathe! But who cares teddybears, I’m surviving the days and I’m loving these glorious imperfections in my life. Laughing at my mistakes and bawling my eyes when I felt like it felt soo good. As much as it is stressful and sounding horrible, it can bring fun and fulfillment din pala. One day, I’m going to become expert in parenting haha. And as a mom now at 24 and looking forward, I can proudly say I am sincerely glad I made the decision to do the unthinkable, that I had enough courage to push through with it. Even if I had to go through pregnancy again, I know I’d still do it ‘coz the pains are worth enduring. :]

I thank God he gave me supportive parents. I just do not know what I would do without them. I love you Mom and Dad! (and now a lolo and a lola) :}

And of course PICS!! to bring ~life~ to this entry.  source: my tumblr blog

Great Family Weekend at The Manila Peninsula

MY FAMILY AND I just had an amazing night staying in a superior room at the Manila Peninsula Hotel+ Breakfast at Escolta! *_* And the whole night dining at the Manila Peninsula’s Spices. Gee. Asian cuisines! Receiving a complimentary 2lb cake also made my heart beat for love ‘coz it’s Mommy’s birthday. The Peninsula Card Membership is only Php7500/a year! It has tons of benefits, allowing you to get value for your money. Not recommended for penniless students though, ‘coz this is not gimik.XD But it was such a grandiose experience that we vouched to return soon with heaps of fun and not-so-many-money.  :]

The Peninsula Card  ♥

Should you wish to sign up for one, you’ll be asked for your name, contact number, address and  payment details. Accepted are credit card, cash or cheque. Read more of the Peninsula Card’s Membership benefits here.

Had the breakfast buffet at Peninsula Manila’s Escolta ♥ Awsm! We had ccrispy bacon, milky scrambled eggs, soya milk, fresh donuts, yogurt, sashimi and more second helpings! YUMM. ♥

♥♥

We saw this on display before entering the restaurant.

Since daddy’s the bearer of the card, he gets 50% discount from the food bill for our dinner in Spices Restaurant. It’s transferable!  Not valid on weekdays and public holidays, though.

Anyway, we had the best chili salmon and beef Colby, only spicier. And I think (again) I may have gained a couple MORE pounds. What the eff? Okay, I’m sorry but I’m still dreaming what chocolate cheesecake means. <3 But we love food, and we want them ALLL! :3 :3 :3

Mom’s complimentary 2lb cake with her preferred cake wording. 48-hour advanced reservation for this is required!

 Few pics from the bunch.

♥♥♥

and of course, a couple of my kaartehan. haha.

Ps. KREAM ONLINE SHOP is now selling accessories! We have mostly cute, top of the trends, but cheap and widely-available fashion selection that I’m sure you’ll all love! Check out our items HERE and enjoy shopping! ♥

Dining at Italianni’s Restaurant

IT’s 3 IN THE AFTERNOON and I just got done photoshopping pictures of food from the dinner I had over the week. I never had this much pictures of food before so I was like, omg I think I’m becoming a food blogger, what is wrong with me?! @_@ Anyway, I think I may have gained extra pounds too because a bowl of pasta is fattening. That plus the fact that having too much carbo slowed down my normal digestion and any chance of food oxidation. haha. But it was happy! And we had random relatives encounter! Also, going out for dinners with family is good for the soul and these I wouldn’t exchange for anything else. ^___^

Mommy Knows Best

I JUST LOVE my mom with every drop of blood in my veins. I may have already tweeted/blogged this but anyway, mommy still holds to be my all time favorite beauty consultant of awesome magnitude since I like the fact that she knows best. With timeless tips to boot! She gave me the impression that real beauty comes from the heart, and quite frankly well-rounded at whatever she do.  So here’s a picture of us – and some beauty advices that doesn’t come from a tube of lip gloss – the best kind there is.

My mom and I are both comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve learned to dress up in girly clothes ‘coz of her even though in retrospect, I was a little boyish and was an athlete for our school’s dance troupe. We always shop together especially when I need something special. And our bonding goes from aerobics into the kitchen; we’ve done nearly everything together! OKAY maybe you can skip the washing the dishes or cooking part since I don’t entirely know where or what I’m good at, but I’ll land somewhere lovely in the future because of her, I guess. :3

Here’s some simple but effective beauty/love advices I got from my mom:

  • Always keep your face clean
  • Eat right (lots of fruits and vegetables!)
  • Drink eight glasses of water a day
  • Collect and select! (boys! boys! hah! )

P.S. My latest make-up haul, courtesy of Mom! Mehehs.  XD

and YEAHHH.. I’m gonna take some decent self-portraits soon ‘coz I miss doing them! Thank you to everyone who keeps on supporting this blog!  *_*

Of New Year’s Eve, Making New Friends, And Shiny Colorful Things

12.30.10.

SEE it’s the upper echolon of pretty girls like this that are going to destroy the entire world of men that heartbreakers dwell on. Yes, we may be bitter, but we just spent the entire night warming each other’s hearts with girly convos and kakikayans for the ultimate gala bonding fiesta! Though I admit I’ve been heart-ugly these days. If giving love was a sport, I’d  be Kobe Bryant. Hah.  :P

Anyway, the ff pictures were of the event that I newly met Kaye Torrente, my super gorgeous facebook friend and the vocalist of Firefly Parade! Chu and Lee, my alltime girlfriends, were also there but of course not to be missed is my cousin lovess (Ate Anj) – who sticks w/ me through thick and thin even though I am the brattest of the brats. XD Anyway, we hooked up with Kaye’s crew and everything went interesting, not boring, okay?

Since details are boring let’s wrap it up and lemme just say I ended my 2011 by making new friends and giving my social life a ~boost~. Girls, I heart you with all my heart! <3

Chu (left) and Lee (right). After Padi’s Point, we braved ourselves for coffee and cheesecakes at 2 in the morning at Starbucks MOA. Check out the rest of our pics in my multiply site.

AND AS PROMISED – new year’s eve photos!

My mom hosted the new year’s party on our street.

Of course, it won’t be Christmas/New Year without the fresh 20 peso bills! My mom has given each filipino kid 20 pesos as a prize for winning a game. Aww. :)

Speaking of games, my bro and I participated too! And lolz y’all know what this is.

The mothers in the block, who prepared all the delicious filipino party foods!

Pop cola, spaghetti, puto, buko salad, carbonara! LOLz. What else yummy do you see here? :3

My bro (far left) and his folks, sitting on the curb while watching the kids play pinoy henyo.

Why I Love Christmas: Gifts, IMAX Movies, Mann Hann, Family, And Frozen Yogurt

I JUST TOOK a picture of the christmas presents I got for this year and I’m gonna weeeeeeeee like a small child!

“]

What did you guys get for Christmas?

OF COURSE thank you to my wonderful parents (who reads my blog! HAHAH) and to my deliciously awesome friends for making my Christmas more fun than last year. I’m not the “gift type” of person and I surely suck in choosing Christmas gifts, but I do HAVE A GOOD HEART and do know how to be a generous princess in return, lolz! :}

See as a treat to my family, we even went out yesterday and watched Tron: Legacy in IMAX 3D!!

Awesome movie, you guys!

ALSO: I treated everyone for dinner!!! – we ordered chinese!

This was my Christmas late dinner with my family.  We ate at Mann Hann, one of our favorite Chinese restaurants which serves delicious chinese food.

Just take a good look at what we had in our tummies:

GAAAH. Delish! XDD

We are fond of laughtrips and my Dad is the ultimate person to be with if you rave for a good sense of humour. He is simply funny, cute, unique, impressive, & MOST OF ALL: huggable. :3 My mom is simply perfect, and possibly the loveliest person you’ll ever meet!
