Foodarama + Polyvore + Floral Fashion Inspirations

I STILL HAVEN’T decided if I’ll go by with my eating of healthy breakfast choices just yet, I mean they’re so easy to prepare (like Back-To-School Breakfast Recipes) and you can always look for something to chew in the fridge to get all the vitamins you need, but I admit: I can never run away from junk feast.

So today I ate Quaker’s oatmeal for breakfast and was stuffed with oily pizza by noon. Alright! You probably think it’s a little hard to see that Pizza Hut and Nestle Melon Milk go together pretty darn well (see picture below). But just after a few bites and a sip and voila! Tastes delish! Amazing!

Also, since I’ve been lacking on inspiration for a while these would do good for self-portraits! What do you think would look better, guys? Let me know in the comment section below. Those florals, stripes and pastel hues are just calling to me! I need to find similar clothes though. :]

Polyvore.com is a site that lets you create your own fashion set so you can express your own personal style. I don’t think you have to be really into fashion to appreciate their website. It’s my first time to actually mix and match something floral with stripes and colors that are not too overpowering and this is enough accomplishment to brag about. Haha. XD  Now get to it. Great fashion trend site I can highly recommend! :]]

Reality Bites

I RARELY GET A COMMENT from somebody that my teeth look so big, or ugly. Ideally, I brush 3x a day, after breakfast, lunch, dinner and visit my dentist twice a year. I think I still suck in the process, though, ‘coz I learned and googled that it takes at least two minutes (I brush for only a minute I guess) using a conventional technique to do a good job of brushing your teeth. And not only that, flossing, something I barely do everyday, must form our daily oral care routine or whateveryoucallitz. What the hell? At least brushing is still one of my favorite things to do in life to maintain healthy teeth and gums, unlike some people I know. Hahaha. Just saying.

Apparently there were all kinds of rumors floating around the other week that some frenemies are back on the wagon or fell off the wagon or whichever one it is where they start talking about me (and yes, my teeth) again! Haha. Really guys? I almost barfed up a lung, but as someone who’s been playing games for years to know self defense well I didn’t clam up to be demeaned. I greatly believe enemies are not so tough anymore! : p

I really don’t care that my teeth is big, dirty white, and full of fluorides ‘coz I have a good comeback and a good soul to back that up. And for the record. I’ve never had a white teeth so call me crazy for relating, but I promise to renovate myself so that your big ugly teeth issue with me finally dies together with all its evilness by accomplishing the do’s and don’ts of Dr. Roman Galvan, dentist from the University of The East, when taking care of teeth:

  • Brush at least 3x a day with a soft bristled toothbrush
  • Never use a hard bristled brush
  • Use fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss daily to remove plaque from areas that your toothbrush can’t reach
  • Eat a healthy diet
  • Avoid sugary foods and drinks
  • Visit your dentist twice a year

Steps:

  1. For the outer tooth surfaces, place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle toward the gum line. Use gentle, short strokes, moving the brush back and forth against the teeth and gums
  2. Use this same motion to clean the chewing and inner tooth surfaces
  3. To clean the inner front tooth surfaces, hold the brush upright and use gentle up-and-down strokes the tip of the brush
  4. Don’t forget to brush along the gum line, and make sure you reach the teeth right at the back

Amazing!

    On another note: I think I ate a carrot cake last night. XD

    5 Ways To Get Your Morning Groove Going

    I ENVY PEOPLE who can sleep properly and easily shut-eye their way out of a night’s worry. I’m not a morning person and I don’t stick to a regular sleeping schedule. I fail at getting up at the same time everyday and for some reasons my appetite has been lost. :s Or if I may have a raging one, it must be occasional binge, one that provides me superhuman comfort (think turon with ice creams!! XDD). Days like this, I can’t fight bed gravity; I would need a coupla’ cups of coffee to instantly get the perk-me-up mood. And I know it’s bad since caffeine interfere nightime sleep but they are simply delectable in my tastebuds! Haha. All this heat is festive and lazy and fun to oversleep but summer is summer! :]]

    So for those lazy days when I’m feeling grungy, these stuffs are the comfiest things I do in the world to get that bright morning spirit, but are certainly not short on the benefits:

    1.) Chow down on quick and easy dishes!

    I love preparing breakfast, so today I made a… *drum rolls*

    Strawberry Butter Sandwich!

    Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
    Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
    Difficulty: Easy
    Serves: Serves 2

    Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup Butter (softened)
    • 2 tbsp Sugar
    • 1 tbsp Strawberry Preserves
    • 4 slices toasted Bread

    How to make Strawberry Butter Sandwich:
    • Take a small bowl and add strawberry, butter and sugar to it.
    • Beat it until you get the desired consistency.
    • Cover and refrigerate it for about 2-3 hours.
    • Spread it over bread slices and enjoy it immediately.

    I love the finer things in life and eating strawberries is one of them. But I don’t over-indulge, except if it’s chocolates ‘coz that may just land me a gross mystery illness of sorts (OKAY TOTALLY RANDOM STORY) so for added flexibility I tried Yoga, but this most of all…

    2.) Do aerobics!

    Flexibility needs TONS of baby steps to take. And since I do it regularly, it’s second nature! I don’t know, Aerobics will probably ruin your life ‘coz it’s addictive and all but I don’t want to get a balloon belly either. I don’t have a flat tummy though, but I’d rather like it cute and cuddly like small pillows. Mehehe. ~ And just recently: Ezeck’s in Town (SEE: the chinky-eyed guy on the aerobics video)!! Remember his despedida HERE? And it’s not like everything about reunions is all grand because in the mix, there’s the most hurtful part of consuming tons of the hard stuff. But Aerobics I must say is helping heaps to burn of all that beer! Yeaah. :]

    3.) Watch quick summer hairstyles videos by Bubzbeauty!

    Because they make a world of difference. ‘Nuff said.

    4.) Go out for a bike!

    And this is like 500 days of summer inspired.

    5.) Have a cute desktop!

    Heartbreak, Coffee Stains, and Starbucks’ Belgian Chocolate Waffles

    YOU GUYS probably have heard of Belgian Waffles being the best in the world, but it seems Starbucks do another type of treat that’s equally, if not more, delicioso. As much as I would spend my life avoiding contact with sweets or indulge in chocolate, ice cream & sappy movies for a multitude of health (and heart) reasons, lolz – even I have to admit that this Starbucks’ Chocolate Belgian Waffle looks as tasty as it could be fresh out an oven.

    Apparently coffee makes me very emotional. Mehehs.

    And that girl I’m with? Well guys, maybe you haven’t heard of her or some of her first ever Etude Hauls ’cause she’s a lovechild…. but believe me or you not: this girl has the daintiest mind in the south to brighten and inspire your day with. :)

    Health and Beauty Tips – Life Is Beautiful

    I JUST got home from a really sweaty yoga session and cardio classes aaaand although I’m dead tired already – I’m feeling (surprisingly enough) fit and fab! See my fingers just keep flying over the keyboard that even though I know I’m not one with the authority to talk about health and beauty and share tips on how to apply make-up and stuff, I’m gonna keep tryin’. Hah.

    But srsly, you guys? Health and beauty isn’t just about hairstyles and make-up!

    Since it’s for the experts, I’ll just in a few share a coupla’ tips to keep you dear reader and your life radiantly beautiful. YEAAAH. And applying make-up on don’t even count!  :D

    1.) Resist The Temptation

    Pinoys love to eat, right?! And since affordable Filipino fastfoods are everywhere, it can be such a big tease. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’d know that I tweeted about having rice for dinner tonight. Nyaha! Well, carbs is A-OK, as long as you eat in small amounts. Guess what I’m trying to say is – WATCH WHAT YOU EAT. Gaining a few pounds isn’t heinous crime, okay. But getting a whole lot can be detrimental to your health!

    2.) Work Hard For The Body

    Excercise! Gaddd..and there’s a whole range to choose from! Move those cute asses people and lift some weights! Jog around the villa, play ball (or watch the hot azkaLs on Star sports tv instead if you’re clueless of the bball thing but weight lifts still while doing that!), learn self-defense moves (which I greatly suck at), or belly dance (trust the expert haha)! And if you ask me, it’s basically just whatever floats my boat and fits my fancy. When you have one, make sure to keep it part of your daily routine mmkay.

    3.) Catch Up On Your Zzz’s

    Brainstorming for this had me heaving a giant SIGH. Confession – it’s difficult for me to share a tip that even I can’t favor myself with! *insert tears* Although I’m trying to, really. Even when it’s past midnight already and my bones are jangled with little symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. WTF? I’m not the entirely busy bee type, but I don’t want you to look like a walking zombie either. SO instead of spending the day feeling groggy, do yourself a favor – sleep. IDK, I always loved having a fresh face minus the eyebags. It just gets me into the groove of things and TRUST ME: it surely will not disappoint!

    Okay that’s the intro, onto selfshots at the gym! XDD HAHAHA. All pictures of course taken using my Palm Pre! :)

    Mental stamina, a loving mom and prayer vitamins

    EXERCISE is a personal achievement and GUESS WHAT DEAR READER: I think I made it out alive!

    Today marked the beginning of my working out again and it was nothing short of fun because I started out early and ended with a bang! Slimmer’s world gym still unfailingly makes me groove to basic workout routines from funky hiphop beats to major aerobics of dancing!

    In retrospect, I thought things couldn’t get any better, but somehow I managed to get out of that sickly, grossly phase (despite being physically afraid of becoming the victim of traumatizing asthma and whathaveyounots). And just like the signal strength of my Smart cellular network on Myphone dual sim, I sneaked out through the bad current and came off with five bars!

    But this all is possibly not permanent —  I should cultivate a chronic cupcake habit to keep up with it all I guess. And LOTS of prayers! And functional drinks like Kopiko’s brown coffee and Red Bull with royal jelly and ginseng! HAHAH. I’m a very CLEVER child. :3  And because I’m not making sense anymore perhaps it’s just right to say:I’m the world’s greatest!” and “I believe I can fly!” :] (I really have had bad blogging skills. XD gomen)
