What’s in my bag?

I READ A LOT OF ”What’s in my bag?” post everyday so I don’t know if seeing a vintage bag full of whateveryoucallitz will interest anyone involved in the blogging world. Haha. I’m sorry if this isn’t interesting but a lot of people were interested in seeing what I bring on random occasions. That plus the fact that I had a lovely stay at the Manila Peninsula over the weekend so I’m gonna go through the things that I brought with me (well, the essentials at least) and not gonna have a bunch of crazy stuff since my knowledge of organization is scant. But doing this was actually fun! :]]

I’m sorry if that’s the nth time you’re seeing the bag (from the post: 5 things I love this week) ‘coz it’s now my favorite vintage bag ever. In retrospect, I carry large ones!! Like standard-sized backpacks since it’s so much easier when you’re a dancer.

Anyhow ~

What’s in my bag breakdown:

  • ID’s
  • Palm Pre
  • My Phone
  • Glasses
  • Hair accessory
  • Small notebook
  • Pen
  • Tissue
  • Mints
  • Keys
  • Make-up kit (lipgloss, eyeshadow, face powder, liquid eyeliner, concealer)
  • Hand Sanitizer

Revlon Custom Eyes Review – Party Pops Palette

HEY GUYS! Remember the Revlon Collections that I got from my uncle Boy recently? Yeah, those. Guess what: I was seriously glued! The Revlon Custom Eyes Palette has gotta be one of my go-to favorite eyeshadows right now and oh dear god I am so excited to show you all what a great product it is! Party pops is such a pretty fun rainbow color! I know a lot of makeup brands floating around on the internets somewhere have prettier day-to-night eyeshadow palettes, but this is the best one. Heee. :]

I don’t even know how to describe it besides saying that it is a gorgeous color and is one of my new found favorites.

The nicest thing about the Revlon Custom Eyes Palette? Is that it kinda has a placement guide on each palette (located at the back) where you could possibly put the shadows. There’s definitely a lot of variations that you can achieve with this, but this is kind of an overall placement.

The guide on the back is easy! And I actually followed this guide and used that as seen on this photo:

Even swatched them on my hand.

As you can see the pigmentation isn’t really there although they are really really pretty colors.

What I like about it:

comes in a really cute compact case

really pretty colors

♥ usable/wearable

What I don’t like about it:

pigmentation quality ~ not there ~ but not as poor as other brands out there

a little powdery and not as creamy as I expect it

Actually, this is my first time to make any makeup review ‘coz that’s how I roll. Haha. Makeup bloggers are amazing! Not much a fan of super lots of makeup, but dancing helped me improve heaps on makeup expertise! Talk about shows! Also, I’m no makeup artist, but I’m still learning and that’s all that really matters. Yeyeye. :]]

 ♥♥♥

And couple of my kaartehan. Hahaha!

‘coz I can’t help it.  XD

Random Stuff, Beauty And The Beach.

NOT TOO LONG AGO I kinda got into a little addiction over some self shot photos with a webcam I posted on my Friendster site, and now that it’s back here are some more. Mehehe. I greatly believe I’m a beautiful, interesting person, and a smart guy will see that! OKAY THAT WAS A JOKE. HAHAHA.

Alright! These pictures have been on my tumblr blog for quite a while now, I’m sharing them coz they’re probably what you’d like to see on a palm Sunday~

Presenting the most filling chow my tastebuds has ever tasted ‘coz my cousin’s godlike skill at cooking couldn’t possibly be achieved by a mortal..

Delicious Turon mixed with a creamy cold scoop of oreo ice cream! *_*

It was so easy to go through a whole cup without realizing it!  <3

Aaand here’s my newest happy spot, a 3.2 processor baby with a BENQ LED monitor, which my Daddyloves gave me for my home based job. My brother didn’t seem happy to hear the news and to install it for me but lolz eventually has learned to accept it.

Vodka is nothing special, but there’s something about them and I think it has something to do with how they get sold on the market in rainbow colors and being the only magical tonic I would’ve down each single minute of everyday next to Tanduay Ice. Heh. :3

Things I bring on a short trip. I can totally see myself spending a relaxing weekend in a summer house with these sun-compatible essentials! *Reviews soon*

But this guys. This is what really bothers me:

OMG I love the beach. *_* Someone, please. Whisk me away..

Morning Office Makeup

Oh make-up..make-up..make-up..you never let me down. The minute I’ve pulled each magic wand out, I knew I was in for a pretty alone time. It might have had something to do with the shades of color, and the shimmer and glimmer of gold and glitter, and reds and pinks and blue palettes, joyously stashed into the pouch.

Where would any modern girl be without it?

Where would I be without it?

  • Estée Lauder Signature Eyeshadow Quad
  • Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup
  • Estée Lauder Lash primer Plus
  • NYC Liquid Lip Shine Gloss
  • Estée Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush
  • Magic Lipstick in Strawberry
  • Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner
  • Ever Bilena Studio Finish Stick Foundation

My morning office make-up is really simple — I apply lightly. Besides moisturizer, I add some face foundation, use a concelar to hide dark spots, apply a light powder blush on my cheeks, curl my eyelashes, apply 2-3 coats of mascara, sweep a pink stick of gloss and then voila, it’s like wear your heels and party work it.

Earlier today, before going to work.

Makeup=great impact in career.

Later, I’ll be writing some make-up reviews! So, yes dear reader, stay tuned!

Hair and Make-up Color Spill At Sidneyland

At 7am-ish every morning before I go to work, I would saunter through the halls across the office leading to the comfort room with my cosmetic pouch which holds my stash of beauty arsenal. I need at least 30 mins. for my make-up routine.. I start work at 8am. Of course there would always be enough time left for make-up  application, but I make sure every dab and stroke and sweep gets applied properly.

Inside the comfort room I would stand in front of the mirror, look at my makeup-less face, pull the hair out of it, and then bring out my essentials — brushes, eye pencils, color palette, lip shimmer, concealer, mascara.. anything works – it’s all a must-have.

I’m not particular with make-up though — I have a good skin and I rarely get zits so using department store or drugstore make-ups are absolutely fine with me. But I must admit I fell in love with branded and designer make-ups from Victoria Secret, NYC, and Estee Lauder.

I always try to achieve color on my face without looking like, well.. made-up. I personally believe us girls shouldn’t wear heavy make-up — it makes us look cheap. Yes, and I’d like to stress on that, cheap. Because for one thing, nothing beats natural beauty.. and two, make-up should just be a way of enhancing your features/let your face glow with color. Unless it’s showtime. :]

I used to wear heavy make-up during dance concerts  in college when I was still part of the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe. But point is, whether you go light or heavy on your make-up, it’s really a necessity..it’s really every girl’s bestfriend. Of course, guys can wear make up too. It’s completely chic, and it’s a gift that we can learn.

My face looks a bit oily here — that’s because I used liquid foundation (Red Earth Cosmetics Liquid foundation SPF 15) for my face. I like wearing it as it is, without powder over so that my face don’t look cake-y. As for the eyes, nude eyeshadow goes first (Clinique Surge Eyeshadow in Strawberry Fudge), followed by a blue eye liner (NYC), and lastly applying white eyeliner (Maybeline) on the inner corner of my eye. Then I just finish it with purple mascara. (Estee Lauder)

With color spill on your eyes, you can look alive with this look. And that means going light on the blush as well. Try soft pink or pale peach shades. I completed my look with a sweep of pink lipstick and a shimmery gloss (Magic Lipstick in Strawberry + Victoria Secret Slice of Heaven Gloss).

As for my hair, I just let my hair down in a different way.  I skip the straightening products and create texture and shine with my hair using Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat. I suggest you skip the hairbrush. I usually don’t have one in my bag. Hee. :3 What I usually do is to just gently run my fingers through my locks and then voila! The waves will look au naturel.

Also: A lot of people have been asking me what color did I choose to dye my hair and what product have I used. Well, this is supposed to be a secret but I’ll let you in. It’s actually light copper blonde by Mondes Hair Coloring. I’ve applied it only at home. And you can buy this for less than 200 pesos. :) )

How about you? How do you do it?

I’d love to hear from you!

P.S. sorry for the messy room! :P
